Facial rig deformations were sculpted in Zbrush then applied as blend shapes in Houdini. We then essentially used a wrap deformer too apply the higher poly render mesh to the lower poly animated Motion Capture rig using the ‘point deform’ node in Houdini. { Artifacts from the wrap are corrected using ‘delta mush’ deformer } Still a work in progress but here is the progress so far!

Just some experimental motion capture tests for my upcoming senior film “Liminal”. One of the scenes consists of slow motion car wreck movement as well as zero gravity. So here’s my attempt at achieving this with motion capture technology. Enjoy, and like most of my motion capture experiments at the time, this is also a work in progress.

Just a few tests messing with Houdini’s fur tools in combination with motion capture! Obviously still in need of some work and polishing.

More experimenting with motion capture in combination with Maya’s nCloth. This is also a current project being that there is still some penetration issues. However, pretty happy with the result so far, more to come.
